Mercy St. Francis Therapy Services in Mtn. View will offer two free-of-charge multi-week physical therapy courses this winter with certified Tai Chi instructor Carol Schmidt. 

“There is physical activity involved, but only to a point,” said Schmidt, who is also a certified Arthritis Foundation exercise instructor. “It’s more of a mental exercise. You’re breathing deeply and relaxing your mind. Your moves are purposeful, but they’re slow.”
