Brent Larue Davis passed away in the afternoon of April 16, 2016, at his home in Alton, Mo. He was 65.Mr. Davis was born on Feb. 26, 1951, in Berwick, Penn. to Morris and Bertha Ritter Davis. He was the oldest child, a brother to two sisters, Gail Fox and spouse Randy, Jerseytown, Penn., and Darlene Meade, Berwick, Penn.In 1991, he married Sharon Gipson at Harrison, Ark. Together, they blended a family with their children, Chris Davis and Suzanne Davis Brakebill from his previous marriage with Patti Zeltner, Charles Gipson, Virginia Gipson Pennington, and Shane Davis from Sharon's previous marriage. Mr. Davis is predeceased by his parents, Morris and Bertha Ritter Davis, and many Aunts and Uncles. He is survived by his wife Sharon, sons Chris Davis and companion Lisa Webster, Viola, Ark., and Shane Davis, Seymour, Mo.; daughter Suzanne Brakebill and husband John, West Plains; step-son Charles Gipson and wife Jessica, Harbor City, Calif.; step-daughter Virginia Pennington and husband David, Raytown, Mo.; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandson.He was a proud bearer of many titles: gunsmith, carpenter, electrician, plumber, farmer, gardener, mechanic, woodworker, machinist, blacksmith, laborer, cook, musician, artist and engraver. He loved to read, work on guns, metal detect, watch birds, coin collect, do crafts, build radio controls and fly remote-control planes, and he was into railroading. There was just not much he couldn't do – he had natural talents and was so “common sensible” about everything. He knew so much about so many things; he only had a high school degree, but was as smart as any college graduate about stock markets and anything else in life. He had the nicest penmanship for engraving. Mr. Davis was knowledgeable about medicine and how to doctor anything, and he knew how to raise plants and animals alike. He could work on and restore almost anything and he liked to take things apart just to make them better.

No services will be held at Mr. Davis' request.
