Graveside services for Norma Jean Fine, 77, West Plains, Mo., will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015, at Oak Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.
She was born the daughter of the late Leland Scott and Marie May Scott on Oct. 21, 1937, in West Plains, Mo., and died Aug. 1, 2015, at West Vue Nursing Center in West Plains.
She was united in marriage Feb. 29, 1964, in Kansas City, Mo., to Eddie Fine.
She is survived by her son, Jason Fine, and wife, Sunni, of West Plains; two grandchildren, Zack and Kileigh Connor, West Plains; two brothers, Neal Scott and wife, Betty, West Plains, and Joe Scott and wife, Jula, West Plains; and special friend, Byron Whittaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Fine; her parents, Leland Scott and Marie May Scott; one brother, Kenneth Scott; and one sister, Susie Martin.
She was a telephone operator in Kansas City. After returning to West Plains, she worked for Eaton for 17 years. She enjoyed watching TV, especially “Little House on the Prairie” and “The Waltons.” She liked reading and enjoyed large-print books at West Plains Public Library. She liked to spend time with animals and enjoyed doing cross-stitch. She was a member of the Curry Street Church Of Christ.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude or West Plains Public Library for-large print books.
