Funeral services for Josephine Ruth Bray, 88, West Plains, Mo., will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 15, 2016, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains with Dr. A. K. George officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.
She was born the daughter of the late Andrew Soots and Gertrude Tabor Soots, on January 3, 1928 in Pomona, Mo. and died May 12, 2016 in West Plains.
She was united in marriage in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Leo Bray, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two children, Jerry Bray and wife JoAnna, Fort Smith, Ark. and Tharon Bray, Hardy, Ark.; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, and one son, Ronald Bray and one daughter, Karen Brown.
She loved to garden and work with her flowers. She was also a collector of dolls, pigs, and shoes. She was employed for nineteen years at the Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains.
Visitation will held on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.
Burial will be in Mackey Cemetery, Howell County, Mo., under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
