Michael John Tischauser, 25, was arrested Friday on a warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge and released the same day on $50,000 bond. Deputy Austin Ryan.

Christopher Lee Haugen, 41, was arrested Monday on two Pulaski County warrants for failure to appear on felony charges and held on $10,000 bond. Deputy Timothy Gordon.
At 12:44 a.m. March 11, Deputy Malone stopped a vehicle on County Road 8010 in West Plains. The driver was arrested on a charge of driving while revoked or suspended and taken to the Howell County Jail.
Deputy Melanie Roam was dispatched at 11:58 a.m. March 11 to a home off of south Highway 17 in West Plains to take a report of a violation of an order of protection. Information will be forwarded to the county prosecutor’s office for review.
At 2:14 p.m. March 11, Deputy Dylan Webb was dispatched to County Road 8870 in West Plains for a missing person. A man reported his wife had left the house and he didn’t know where she was. The reporting party located her a short time later.
The Howell County Sheriff’s Office received numerous reports by 4:04 p.m. March 11 of a man calling people and identifying himself as a sergeant with that agency. The caller was reported to request payment from people in the form of gift cars. An investigation is ongoing for charges of false impersonation of a law enforcement officer and stealing. Cpl. At 4:27 p.m. March 11, Deputy First Class Jared Hummel was dispatched to the sheriff’s office to take a report of stealing. No charges have been filed at this time.
Deputy Talon Millard was dispatched at 8:30 p.m. March 12 to County Road 2960 in Mtn. View for a disturbance. An argument had occurred but there were no injuries and no charges have been filed.
At 10:17 p.m. March 12, Deputy Millard responded to County Road 4100 for a runaway youth.
A Children’s Division investigator contacted the sheriff’s office at 1:15 p.m. March 13 asking for help with a hotline call regarding the possible sexual abuse of a child. Contact was made with the child and safety was ensured. A report was taken and an investigation is ongoing. Deputy Webb.
At 6:37 a.m. March 14, Cpl. Smith received a call for service regarding a 911 hang-up call originating in Peace Valley. Dispatch reported a man called 911 and said, “They are going to kill me.” The call was traced to an address on County Road 3850. Cpl. Smith responded, made contact with a man and discovered he was illegally in possession of a firearm. The case is under investigation.
Deputy Ryan was notified at 4:55 p.m. Friday of a person who wanted to report theft from the area of K Highway. He spoke to the reporting party and the accused, and they agreed to work things out. A report was taken.
At 9:14 a.m. Saturday, Deputy Ryan was dispatched to County Road 8270 for a violation of an order of protection. He took information for a report. The suspect was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold. Charges were sent to the county prosecutor for review.
Deputy Ward was notified at 10:01 a.m. Saturday of an out-of-control youth with a knife at an address off of N Highway in Pomona. The case was referred to the Howell County Juvenile Office.
At 10:53 a.m. Saturday, Cpl. Smith assisted with the arrest and transport of a person at the Howell County Courthouse, and while in custody, the person damaged jail property. Additional charges will be sought.
Deputy Jacob Hamby was dispatched at 12:48 p.m. Saturday to AB Highway for a property damage complaint. A suspect was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
At 3:52 p.m. Sunday, Cpl. Travis Weaver responded to an address off of County Road 6690 in West Plains for a report of a person walking down the road with a firearm. Upon further investigation, it was discovered the person had trespassed, assaulted a neighbor, then went home to get a gun before trying to return to the neighbor’s house. The person was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges of unlawful use of a weapon, third-degree assault, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing.
