Three-month-old Lilly is described by West Plains Regional Animal Shelter volunteer Trish Hammen as “the cutest little puppy” in need of a home. “She will be a medium to large mix breed when she grows up,” said Hammen, adding that anyone wishing to adopt Lilly or another animal from the shelter can drop by between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. The shelter is located at 1486 BB Highway, and is closed on Sundays. The fee to adopt a dog is $50 and includes the cost of spaying or neutering, plus vaccinations. “Our new shelter building is under construction and to finish the inside of the shelter we are going to need your help,” said Hammen. “[Prices for] construction materials have gone up and it is costing more than we expected. Any donations would be appreciated.” To learn more about how to support the project, call 417-256-8438.
