TICKETS

Lakeisha Nichole Pickett, Hartsville, Tenn., was ticketed at 9:17 a.m. March 16 on a charge of speeding by 11-15 mph over. Officer Jim Hedlesten.

Elizabeth S. Turley, Mtn. Grove, was ticketed at 2:20 p.m. March 16 on a charge of speeding by 11-15 mph over. Officer Hedlesten.

Keith Royal Thomas, Jacksonville, Fla., was ticketed at 3:17 p.m. march 16 on a charge of speeding by 16-19 mph over. Officer Hedlesten.

Diane Marie Thomas, Willow Springs, was ticketed at 4:56 p.m. March 17 on a charge of driving a vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility. Officer Joe Barnhouse.

Robert Anthony Despres, Willow Springs, was ticketed at 4:47 a.m. March 18 on a charge of driving a vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility. Officer Ryan McGinnis.

Madison Cronin, Willow Springs, was ticketed at 3:27 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of driving a vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility. Officer Barnhouse.

INCIDENT REPORTS

At 1:59 p.m. March 14, a woman reported someone had stolen several items from her apartment. Officer Joby Hoopes took a report.

Officer Cary Gates took a call at 1:28 a.m. March 15 from Howell County 911 regarding an active domestic assault at Willow Springs Mobile Home and RV Park on Highway 76. The case was logged as second-degree assault.

At 2:18 p.m. Tuesday, Officer Barnhouse responded to the parking lot of Family Dollar on East Main Street for a noninjury traffic crash. A report was taken.

Officer Barnhouse stopped a vehicle with expired tags at 2:41 p.m. Tuesday on East Main Street. It was learned the driver had an active warrant for arrest, and the driver was taken to the police station to post bond. An additional ticket was issued to the driver on a charge of failure to show proof of insurance

At 4:40 p.m. Tuesday, Officer Barnhouse took a report of found property and notified the property’s owner.

CALLS FOR SERVICE

Officer Wade Bloomer conducted requested extra patrol March 14 on East Main Street.

On March 14, Officer Bloomer spoke to a caller about a disturbance, and the caller inquired about getting medical attention for someone.

A reporting party called March 14 to report an aggressive dog on North Grand Street. Officer Bloomer.

On March 15, a person called to report a disturbance between three people on Highway 76. Officer Gates.

Assistant Chief Al Lewis provided a funeral escort on March 15 from Westside Family Life Center to Pine Grove Cemetery.

Officer Hoopes responded on March 16 to East Sixth Street for a report of a dog running loose. He was not able to find the dog.

On March 16, Officer Hoopes assisted medical personnel with a lift assist on Sunshine Drive.

Officer David Hocking responded on March 17 to a harassment complaint and took a report.

On March 17, Officer Hocking responded to North Harris Street for a report of someone seen looking through windows. An area search was done and the person was not found.

Officer Hocking took a report of harassment on March 17 on Springfield Road.

On March 17, officers responded to a call regarding suspicious circumstances on Highway 76 and were unable to find anything out of the ordinary. Officer McGinnis.

Animal Control Officer Mark Templemere spoke to a caller on March 18 who reported trash in her yard belonging to her neighbors.

On March 18, ACO Templemere took a call about two dogs running loose on Post Oak Drive.

Officer Barnhouse took a call on March 18 from a citizen informing police of a stranded vehicle that was going to be towed.

On Tuesday, Officer McGinnis checked on an abandoned vehicle on East Main Street.

A caller reported a lost wallet on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, a person called to ask about getting a ride-along form.

Officer Barnhouse spoke to a caller on Tuesday about lost or stolen property.

On Tuesday, six people called the police station about smoke in the area.

Officer Barnhouse spoke to a person on Tuesday who called to report a noninjury traffic crash.

On Tuesday, a person went to the police station to turn in a found wallet. Officer Barnhouse.

Officer Barnhouse took a call on Tuesday from someone requesting a well-being check on someone in the area of Highway 76 and Z Highway.

On Tuesday, Officer McGinnis removed debris from DD Highway.

Assistant Chief Lewis spoke to a caller on Wednesday who reported a smoke smell inside of a building on East Third Street.

A person went to the police station on Wednesday to ask for directions.

On Wednesday, Officers Hocking and Barnhouse conducted a well-being check on East Main Street for a suicidal person.

A person called on Wednesday to report a careless and imprudent driver. Officer Barnhouse responded.

On Wednesday a person went to the police station to get a ride-along form.

Assistant Chief Lewis and Officers Hocking and Barnhouse responded Wednesday to a 911 call about a verbal disturbance in the area of North Ash and Park Streets.

On Wednesday, Officer Hocking spoke to a person who reported someone had a wreck on a scooter on North Ash Street.

Officer McGinnis assisted emergency medical personnel with an intoxicated man on Wednesday on North Ash Street.

On Thursday, Officer McGinnis and Sgt. David Struble responded to East Main Street to check the area for reported smoke in a building. They were unable to find the source.

Officer McGinnis found an abandoned vehicle Thursday on U.S. 60/63.
