Zizzer Class of ’74 announces 50th reunion plans

Posted

The West Plains High School Class of 1974 will hold its 50th reunion June 28 and 29 with a full slate of events planned.

Dress is casual for all events, said organizers.

Festivities will kick off at 7 p.m. June 28 with a Meet and Mingle at the People’s Park pavilion on West Broadway, followed by a T-shirt pickup. A group photo will be taken at 7:30 p.m. sharp. All are encouraged to bring their own lawn charges.

At 11 a.m. June 29, registration for the day’s events will take place in the Magnolia Room of the West Plains Civic Center, 110 St. Louis St. Pizza and desserts will be served at noon in the same room and a group photo will follow at 1:30 p.m. Punctuality is again emphasized.

At 5 p.m. reunion activities will move to Rubydoo’s Vintage Events Center, 9240 County Road 9190, 3.8 miles down ZZ Highway. A limited supply of beverages will be available, so attendees are encouraged to bring their own beverages, as well. A group photo will be taken at 6 p.m. sharp, followed by a social hour until 7, when the meal will be served, catered by Rubydoo’s. A banquet program will conclude the evening.

Classmates are asked to bring their letter jackets or Vo-Ag jackets to display on the backs of their chairs for the dinner and banquet.

The Class of ’74 is also taking donations of items to auction in support of the Hammond Mill Camp capital improvement campaign. All help is greatly appreciated, said organizers.
