Comedian Alex Clark

Expect the unexpected when comedian and juggler Alex Clark comes to West Plains for a 7 p.m. performance Oct. 8 at the West Plains Civic Center, said organizers with the University/Community Programs Department at Missouri State University-West Plains.

Voted 2014’s Hot Variety Act by Campus Activities Magazine, Clark mixes family friendly humor with knife juggling and ladder balancing to create a blend of stand-up comedy and circus-style feats.

“This is another event that will appeal to both young and more mature audience members,” said Jennifer Moore, coordinator of U/CP theater and events. “Alex tours the country making people laugh, and each show he does is a little different. So you can expect the unexpected on this one.”

She said, “In preparing for his comedy routine, Alex Clark has been looking into what makes West Plains, and the wider Ozarks, unique. And just based on his emails and questions so far we’re in for a hilarious show.”

Tickets are $8 each; children age 13 and younger and students with a Missouri State-West Plains BearPass ID will be admitted free.  They may be purchased at the West Plains Civic Center box office or by calling 417-256-8087.
