From left: owner Greg Bell and staff Josh Bell, Fred Craig, Dallas Phelps and Tyler Curlile stand in front of the painter booth in the shop. “This is one of the features of the shop we enjoy very much,” said Bell. The cars are placed in the painter booth to be painted after the bodywork has been completed.

Greg’s Body Shop, 1122 U.S. 60, owned by Greg Bell is the Mtn. View Chamber of Commerce business of the month for June. The shop has remained in the same location for 41 years.

Bell and his brother-in-law Fred Craig started working at the location when it was a Ford garage. Before that, his father F.L. Bell worked there from 1954 to 1970.

Greg Bell bought the site and opened the body shop in 1978.

Greg’s Body Shop does almost any type of body work on vehicles, said Bell. The shop has a paint booth he said the staff really enjoy using. The paint booth is used to paint the cars once they have been repaired.

In addition to body work, the business offers U-Haul, trucks, trailers, dollies and numerous moving supplies, including boxes, tape and mattress covers.

There are also over 100 storage units on sites available to the public to rent.

Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
