37,735 pounds of food donated

OMC RIVERWAYS is the recipient of 37,735 pounds of food donated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The donation, which is the equivalent of about 35,000 meals, will go toward holiday baskets distributed to families for Riverways Hospice and the Elks Lodge’s Christmas for Kids programs, and is currently stored at Cawvey’s Electric. Standing in front of the 24 pallets delivered are, from left, Scott Cawvey, Mike Kraft, Troy Cunnigham of Deseret Industries, Shane Wood, Rob Jones, RoxAnn Wurst, Sandy Jones and Steve Shelton. To learn more about the significant donation, see Page 6 of Friday's Quill.
