A Thayer man has died of injuries suffered in a crash at 11:52 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of U.S. 63 and Highway 19 in Thayer, according to the Thayer Police Department.
Law enforcement reported that a northbound 2019 Nissan driven by Andrea Underwood, 51, of Thayer, was traveling on U.S. 63 when it struck a westbound 1997 Buick driven on Highway 19 by Faye Tackitt, 76, also of Thayer. According to police, the Buick had pulled into the path of the Nissan and was struck on the driver’s side.
The driver of the Buick was taken by Air Evac to a Springfield hospital; her passenger, Harold Tackitt, 81, of Thayer, was taken to Ozarks Medical Center (OMC) in West Plains where he was pronounced dead, according to police. No condition report is available for Faye Tackitt.
