West Plains Elementary School faculty and staff got a chance to congratulate students on their promotions, hand out treats and talk briefly with them during a drive-through event held Wednesday.

Colorful signs were part of the lineup in front of the West Plains Elementary School as students were driven past the front entrance and certificates of promotion and treats were handed out. “We are marking the unofficial end of the school year,” Principal Donnie Miller said of the occasion. “This is a great opportunity to see them and we are handing out candy, popsicles and other treats. We wanted to make this a fun event for families and faculty.”

That is so kind but teachers please remember your PPE. The children can also contract Covid 19 and they can spread it far and wide.
