Councilman Cary Stewart, left, officially ended his four-year term on the West Plains City Council at the end of Monday’s meeting. Mayor Jack Pahlmann presented a plaque to Stewart in honor of his years of dedicated service on the council and to the people of West Plains. Stewart, who owns Cary Stewart Construction in West Plains, was elected to the city council in April 2016. The election for Stewart’s replacement will be June 2.
