12 days of Christmas lights

Today marks the first day of the West Plains Daily Quill’s “12 days of Christmas lights” call for photo submissions. This merry display was put up by Joshua and Jessica Howell; their children Madison, Ryder and Bryson; and Joshua’s parents Marilyn and Dalton Howell, owners of Howell Masonry. The display, which can be found along AB Highway about 2.5 miles southwest of West Plains, takes about three weeks to put up, they said. Readers may submit pictures of their favorite Christmas lights taken anywhere within 60 miles of West Plains, to be published in the print edition of the newspaper or online at www.westplainsdailyquill.net. Submissions must include the area the house is in and whose light display it is, if known, as well as the name and hometown of the person submitting the picture. If there are any children in the photo, list their names and ages along with parents’ names. Send pictures by email to news@wpdailyquill.net; mail them to P.O. Box 110, West Plains, MO 65775; or bring them between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays to the Quill office, 205 Washington Ave.
