A house fire Saturday night at 307 St. Street in Koshkonong resulted in a total loss for homeowner Robert James, who was not home at the time of the blaze. Koshkonong Volunteer Fire Department Chief Codey Bryant, who provided this photo, reported the department responded to the location at 8 p.m. that evening and left the scene at about 3:30 a.m. The fire rekindled at about 5:30 a.m. and firefighting crews returned for another hour until it was again under control. There were no injuries as a result of the fire, fought with the assistance of crews from the Thayer Fire Department and Rover Volunteer Fire Department. The fire is being investigated by the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office, the cause undetermined at this time, according to state fire officials.
