May is Community Action Month

West Plains Mayor Jack Pahlmann visited Ozark Action to sign a proclamation to declare the month of May to be Community Action Month. The recognition is intended to help raise awareness of the works of Community Action Agencies such Ozark Action. According to the proclamation, Missouri Community Action Agencies serve most of the counties in rural, suburban and urban communities, offering life-changing services such as job training, affordable housing, utility assistance for seniors, while also promoting communitywide solutions and sharing expertise.
