Fundraiser for foster kids

A fundraiser for foster kids served by the 37th Judicial Circuit Children’s Division is being organized by goodwill ambassadors Reta House and Faith House. The women are hosting giveaway drawings for gift baskets donated by Baskets by Design and quilts made by Calico Cabin Quilters. Tickets to enter the drawings will be sold at Missouri State University-West Plains Grizzly basketball home games on Monday, Wednesday and Nov. 22 and 23 at the West Plains Civic Center. “Reta has been a blessing in organizing this fundraiser for the kids,” said division Circuit Manager Shawn Bently. According to Bently, funds raised will go toward a summer excursion and a Christmas party for foster children in the 37th Circuit. The 37th Circuit Children’s Division manages up to 300 foster children in Howell, Oregon, Shannon and Carter counties. For more information or to make a donation call Reta House at 293-4239.
