BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — A 22-year-old man has been taken into custody by Montana authorities investigating the death of a Laurel woman.

Yellowstone County Sheriff Mike Linder says Diego T. Hernandez, of Laurel, was taken into custody at his residence Tuesday night.

Linder says the death of 57-year-old Lori Bray remained under investigation and no further information was released. There was no immediate information available on whether Hernandez had an attorney.

Bray was last seen leaving her workplace around 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 1.

Her body was found in a wooded area outside of Laurel on Oct. 2 by a man riding his ATV. Linder says her body was found about 3 miles (4.8 kilometers) from where her abandoned car was found and authorities determined her death was a homicide.
