The double by De La Cruz came in the midst of a four-run inning and gave the DSL Reds a 2-1 lead. Later in the inning, De La Cruz scored on a passed ball and Esmil Torres hit an RBI single.

The DSL Reds later added two runs in the seventh and four in the eighth to finish off the blowout.

Zamil Castillo (3-0) got the win in relief while DSL D-backs1 starter Rael Santos (2-1) took the loss in the Dominican Summer League game.

The five extra-base hits for DSL Reds included a season-high five doubles.

Juan Batista singled twice, also stealing a base for the DSL D-backs1.

DSL Reds improved to 5-2 against DSL D-backs1 this season.
