HAWLEY VISITS WEST PLAINS

U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), center, visited West Plains Tuesday evening as he stopped by the local Veterans of Foreign Wars/American Legion post to meet with about 50 residents. He spoke on topics, ranging from agriculture to veterans affairs. Hawley fielded questions from the audience about their concerns regarding current events in Washington, including health care and foreign trade. He discussed his upcoming work in the Senate, and heard updates from local employers. The senator also visited Ava and Gainesville earlier Tuesday and headed to Cape Girardeau on Wednesday as he uses time during the Senate’s summer recess to tour the rest of the state for the week.
