Donation to police department

WEST PLAINS ROTARY CLUB on Tuesday gave $1,000 to the West Plains Police Department to go toward the purchase of a new police dog. The department’s previous K-9, Tuk, took an early retirement in April due to disease that affects mobility. A banquet will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. July 12 at the civic center to help raise funds for Tuk’s replacement. Tickets are $30 and available online at eventbrite.com. Officers, from left, Justin Brown and Paul Bradshaw representing the police department accept the donation check from Rotary President Heather Fisher. Ashley Bradshaw, wife of Officer Bradshaw and co-organizer of the fundraiser banquet, stands to the right of Fisher.
