Colleen Justus’ last client as a hairstylist was also her first. Through Justus’ 57-year career, Ramona Loring, seated, was a regular customer. The two have been friends since high school and Loring was Justus’ first customer in 1963 when she worked at Irene’s Beauty Salon. Justus, most recently working out of Shear Bliss in Imperial Center in West Plains, retired Tuesday. During the course of her career, she also owned a salon of her own at one time, Cosmotique. Now, she says she plans to retire to Springfield and spend her time playing golf and tennis. After Loring’s hair was done, she and Justus shared a tearful goodbye hug. A retirement party for Justus was held Monday evening at El Charro, with Justus’ friends and co-workers in attendance. “We’re going to miss Colleen,” said Shear Bliss owner Jami Biggers. “She’s like family.”
