Written by David for the memorial service program:

On Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018 our brother in Christ, David Henson Waterson, left this earth bound to go home and spend an eternity with his God, with his Savor Jesus Christ.

David was the son of Elmer Waterson and Louise Lawhon Waterson. David is survived by his wife, Libby Waterson of 32 years; a brother, Audie Waterson (Jane) and sister Rachel Waterson. David and Libby have two children Adrienne Waterson and Travis Waterson.

David was born in Rockford, Ill., but his parents made the decision to move to Arkansas when David was still a small child. Elmer and Louise settled in Annieville, Ark., living on a 120 acre cattle farm. This is had been a dream for Elmer. David took to the farm life very well. He liked to be around the cattle and being able to have horses that he and Libby rode together.

David made a lifetime career of Emergency Services. He first worked as a firefighter and obtained the rank of Lieutenant. Then his focus became more narrow as he found a passion for Emergency Medical Services. David became a paramedic and was quickly running two ambulance services and serving as security and safety director at a hospital in Kennett, Mo.

He eventually was offered an opportunity to work for the State of Missouri in the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. It is from the State of Missouri that David eventually retired.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Bryan Chapel in Hoxie with Bro. John King.
