An Alton woman suffered minor injuries in a crash involving a deer in the road at 6:30 p.m. Monday on U.S. 160 two miles east of West Plains, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Cpl. J.C. Howell with Troop G of the patrol, Willow Springs, reported Margaret B. Caughron, 36, was a passenger in an eastbound 2007 Chevrolet Silverado that struck the deer. She and the truck’s driver, Bradley O. Caughron, 31, also of Alton, both reportedly wore seat belts.

No injuries were reported for the driver. Margaret Caughron was taken by private vehicle to the Alton ambulance shed, then taken to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, the report shows. No condition report is available.
