The Quill, in conjunction with the Howell County Sheriff’s Department, prints a once-a-week “Most Wanted” column. Sheriff Mike Shannon urges anyone with information on any of these individuals to contact the Sheriff’s Department at 256-2544, 256-6464 (fax) or email to hcso@wpcs.net. The Sheriff’s Department is on Missouri Avenue in West Plains. Revised Statutes show the sentencing guideline if found guilty of a Class A felony is a term in prison of not less than 10 years. In a Class B felony case, the sentencing guideline if found guilty is not less than five years nor more than 15 years. Class C felony is a term in prison not to exceed seven years. The sentencing guideline for a Class D felony is a prison term not exceeding four years.
