SEATTLE — Roenis Elias was untouchable for the first three innings against Kansas City on Wednesday night. Then, no one is really sure what happened after that in the Seattle Mariners' 8-2 loss to the Royals. Kansas City scored seven runs in the fourth, chasing Elias.

Mike Moustakas hit a two-run homer and Omar Infante had a three-run double to highlight the Royals ' seven-run fourth. The Royals pounded out 13 hits in the game, the 17th time this season they've had 13 or more.

Alcides Escobar opened the fourth with a single, and Moustakas followed with his shot just over the right-field wall, his seventh, on a 3-2 fastball.

The Royals would score five more, all with two outs. Infante unloaded the bases with his double to left, then Jarrod Dyson and Alcides Escobar each followed with RBI doubles.
