Zizzer swim team

For the first time in school history, a Zizzer swim team relay team has qualified the Class I State Championship Meet Friday and Saturday in St. Peters. The West Plains High School 400-yard freestyle relay team of, from left: Andrew Brain, Kyle Jolliff, Dakota Sparks and Nate Bramwell qualified for the meet with a time of 3:41.77. The fastest 32 teams in the state earn a spot in the meet. In individual events, Bramwell also qualified in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.60. Championship preliminary races begin at 5 p.m. Friday and finals are Saturday at 3 p.m. The bus departs for St. Peters from the high school at 6:15 p.m. Thursday. The community is invited to rally in the high school parking lot beginning at 5:45 p.m. to see the team off.
