6th annual Captain D’s Cystic Fibrosis Day is Saturday

Posted

The sixth annual Cystic Fibrosis Day at Captain D’s will be held Saturday at the restaurant, 1402 Preacher Roe Blvd. in West Plains.

Franchise owners Zach and Jessica Stokes and staff will be working hard that day preparing customers’ Captain D’s favorites and a portion of that day's sales will be donated to help Cystic Fibrosis of West Plains raise money for the 37th annual Cystic Fibrosis Concert featuring Rodney Atkins. The concert will be held March 15 at the West Plains Civic Center as a fundraiser for cystic fibrosis research.

“This is always a very successful event and we look forward to teaming up with Captain D’s again this year. Everyone always enjoys the good food and seeing everyone,” Cystic Fibrosis of West Plains volunteer Rick Frazier said.

“We will have an all day special of a two-piece fish dinner with two sides for $6.99, plus all other items that are on our regular menu,” Zach Stokes added.

Cystic Fibrosis of West Plains volunteers will sell tickets for the giveaway of two guns, Kimber 9 mm and Ruger 9 mm pistols donated by 4730 Lumber, Randy and Kelly McGinnis, and Adam and Mindy Williams. Winners will be selected and announced at the concert.

“We hope everyone will come out and support Captain D’s Day and Zach & Jessica Stoke, and look forward to seeing you there.” Frazier said.

“Remember to wear your purple and support Captain D’s Day and Cystic Fibrosis of West Plains,” said volunteer Jessica Joice-Frazier. “We will be there and hope you will too.”
