As people age, warding off balance problems, keeping the heart and brain healthy and the joints flexible becomes more important to overall wellness. These are some of the goals of new senior fitness classes being offered by instructor Olivia Webb at The Firm Family Fitness, 1610 Freedom Drive.
ABC (All Body Core) Fitness and Mat Pilates, aimed at strengthening and toning core muscles is held 9 to 10 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and Ageless Athletics is a zero-impact aerobics class using towels, weighted balls and light hand weights for resistance and strength training, flexibility, mobility, and cardiovascular health. Ageless Athletics is chair-based and does not require standing for long periods of time, held from 10 to 11 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Classes are free to members and cost $3 per session for non-members.

Webb has over 40 years of experience in leading fitness and group exercises, including owning a fitness center in Fulton, and teaching Jazzercise and YMCA classes. She is married to North Terra Golf Course Manager Stan Webb.
