An Ash Flat, Ark., man suffered fatal injuries in a crash that occurred at 12:28 p.m. Oct. 4 in Highland, Sharp County, Ark., the Highland Police Department reported to the Arkansas State Police, which publicized the report.
Officer Isaac Lowe with the police department reported John Morris, 59, of Ash Flat, was southbound in his 2013 Mazda CX-9, pulling out onto U.S. 62/Highway 412 from Highland Hills Baptist Church and trying to cross the highway onto Meadowbrook Drive. The collision reportedly occurred when the Mazda entered into the path of a westbound 2017 Jeep Wrangler traveling on the highway and the Jeep struck the Mazda’s driver’s side door.
The driver of the Jeep, Roy Perrin, 68, of Williford, Ark., was taken to White River Medical Center in Cherokee Village, Ark., and the deceased was taken to Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Ark., according to the report published by the state police’s Troop B in Jonesboro.
