The Baxter County, Ark., Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing youth from Gassville.

David Andrew Moore, Jr., was reported missing on Thursday, having last been seen at 6 p.m. Wednesday riding a green BMX-style bike, said authorities in a media release emailed shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday. He had left his home on North Highway 126 in Gassville, about 56 miles south of West Plains, or 10 miles west of Mtn. Home.

He is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has blue eyes. Authorities note the boy talks with a stutter, and when last seen, was wearing a red shirt, gray shorts and black slip-on shoes. It is believed he may have been headed east toward Jonesboro, where his biological mother lives, they added. His age was not given in the release.

Anyone with information about Moore’s location is asked to notify Baxter County Sheriff’s Investigator Brian Williams by calling 870-425-7000 or 870-425-7637.
