In response to the recent storms that impacted the West Plains community, the City of West Plains Sanitation Department is accepting brush and storm debris free of charge at the city’s transfer station this week.
The free service will be available during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday.
Residents are encouraged to bring any storm debris and brush directly to the transfer station. Please note that sanitation crews will not make residential pickups; all debris must be taken to the transfer station by residents.
"We understand that many residents are dealing with the aftermath of the recent storms, and we want to make it as easy as possible for them to clean up their properties," said Utilities Director Shayne Eades. "Providing free access to the transfer station for storm debris is one way we can support our community during this time."
