Posted

During Thursday’s regular session of the Howell County Commission, County Collector Janet Crow is expected to make a presentation regarding her tax sale surplus report. The presentation is set to begin at 11 a.m. and concerns the surplus tax sale that was held Aug. 28.

Prior to that, at 10:30, commissioners will open and consider sealed bids for a replacement of the County Road 2570 bridge. Bids are due by 10 a.m. with S.H. Smith and Co. of Poplar Bluff.

Also during the meeting, which will convene at 10 a.m. on the second floor of the Howell County Office Building, 35 Court Square in West Plains, commissioners will open requests for qualifications for the Christos House property improvements. The requests, due by 10:30 a.m. Thursday, were solicited through the South Central Ozarks Council of Governments.

Also on the agenda, accounts payable will be approved and guests will be recognized.

The commission typically meets from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each Monday and Thursday, breaking for an hour during lunch. The public is welcome.
