Howell County Commissioners will meet at 10 a.m. Monday in the conference room on the second floor of the county office building, 35 Court Square in West Plains.
On the agenda, commissioners will review and consider a contract with the South Central Ozarks Council of Governments, then review March general ledger reports.
Accounts payable will be approved and guests will be recognized.
The commission typically meets each Monday and Thursday. The public is welcome.
An Easter egg hunt hosted by Mercy St. Francis Hospital and the Mtn. View Chamber of Commerce will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. April 14 behind the hospital. The hunt itself begins at 6.
There will be four age groups with two golden egg prizes — a bike and a helmet — for each: ages 1 to 3 years, 4-6 years, 7 to 9 years and 10 to 12 years.
Activities include games, face painting, balloons and food trucks.
The City of Mtn. View has announced the citywide annual spring cleanup for residences with current trash service will be held from April 21 through 25. Businesses are excluded from participating.
Extra items will be picked up on residential customers’ normal trash pickup day, with a two-yard limit, or the equivalent to a level pickup bed load.
Items should be separated into seven categories: regular bagged or box trash; large items such as furniture or pallets; metal goods such as appliances; recyclables placed in city-provided blue recycling bags; tires, a maximum of four car-sized; car batteries; and labeled used oil. Any broken glass must be boxed and labeled.
Items considered hazardous waste will not be collected, such as asbestos, demolition or renovation waste, paint, herbicides or pesticides, or antifreeze.
