Funeral services for Geneva Trantham, 78, Koshkonong, Mo., will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, Mo.
She was born the daughter of the late Walter Mayfield and Thelma Bartley Mayfield, on Nov. 18, 1938, in Ramona, Okla.,and died March 19, 2017, in Koshkonong, Mo.
She was united in marriage July 7, 1959, in West Plains, Mo., to Leroy Trantham.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy Trantham, of the home, Koshkonong, Mo.; one son, Charles Trantham and wife Alice, Hawk Point, Mo.; one brother, Norman Mayfield and wife Evelyn, Lake Side, Ore.; one sister, Loeta Watson, West Plains, Mo.; one step-granddaughter, Andrea Martin and husband Bill, Barnhart, Mo.; one step-grandson, Shane Higgins, Hawk Point, Mo.; three step-great-grandchildren, Shelby Higgins, Jarold Higgins, both of Hawk Point, Mo., and Kadence Martin, Barnhart, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She love to fish and loved her cat, “Baby.”
Family visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2017, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.
Burial will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
