Many of you have long been waiting for the 2021 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program!
Signup began Monday at the West Plains Senior Center from 9 a.m – 1 p.m. with several more dates to follow. Eligible Seniors receive 10 vouchers ($5.00 each) totaling $50.00 to shop at your favorite local farmers market.
You will be able to shop right away at “Go Farm” Farmers Market after enrolling at the Senior
Center. Items you may purchase with the vouchers are produce (fruits, vegetables, and herbs)
and honey. We have a great selection of produce and local raw honey at the market every
Wednesday and Saturday.
Sign up will be at West Plains Senior Center June 2nd, 9th, 11th, 16th, 18th, 23rd, and 25th only
from 9 am – 1pm, but it’s best to sign up early.
Adrian from Grison Dairy will be back with us this Saturday with his local handmade cheeses
and, also Olga with her bee venom products for pain relief and skin conditions.
For you gardeners we have two new vendors who hand make harvest baskets and wood planters
of all sizes. They are unique and very well priced. We still have vegetable starter plants to get
your garden going as well as trees, flowers and shrubs. And as always plenty of meats, eggs,
honey, jams, syrups, breads, baked goods, kettle corn, kombucha, health and wellness products,
and a lot more. Come shop with us Wednesday and Saturday at Endurance Church parking lot
