The West Plains Country Club Ladies Golf Assoc. will host the second annual 4-Lady Scramble Golf Tournament Aug. 11 to benefit the 37th Judicial Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). “Thanks to our generous sponsors and golfers, last year we raised $5,000 for area first responders, and I think we have an excellent chance of reaching, and passing, that goal,” said tournament committee chair Marge Slayton.
The donation to CASA will fund their library for volunteer advocate training. Donations fund volunteer advocate travel to visit child victims, school counselors, and court hearings
Theses donations will also fund the supplies and meeting space for the seven-week training sessions for a team of 6-8 new volunteer advocates.
