To the editor:
I have enjoyed following Chris Herbolsheimer’s work since he started with the Quill. He brought us through the COVID shutdown with historical area athletic events. He encouraged us to go on hikes (several which we have pursued). He expanded my interest in cars, which had previously been none. He continues to try and transition us to a blended product newspaper. It does let me cheat more easily on the crossword puzzles.
However, Chris has expanded his repertoire yet again. I laughed through his great detail and instructions accompanying his Broccoli Cheddar Soup recipe (published Sept. 13, 2023). Then I proceeded to make the soup that night. It was delicious.
Thank you so much; Chris, for all you have done and continue to do.
