The Howell County Commission will hold a public hearing at 1 p.m. Thursday regarding the annual setting of the county tax levy. The hearing is part of the commission’s regular Thursday session, to begin at 10 a.m. in the conference room on the second floor of the county office building, 35 Court Square in West Plains.
Commissioners are also expected to open and review sealed bids for the purchase of road oil for the Northern District. Bids are due by 11 a.m. Thursday.
Payroll will be approved, as well as accounts payable presented to the commission, and guests will be recognized.
The commission typically meets each Monday and Thursday. The public is welcome.
