Howell County Sheriff’s Office recovers motorcycle reported stolen out of West Plains

The Howell County Sheriff’s Office recovered a stolen motorcycle over the weekend.

According to the sheriff’s office deputies received information of a suspicious vehicle on State Route 142 near Moody at 3 a.m. Saturday, April 16. 

A deputy dispatched to the scene observed the motorcycle laying on its side in the middle of the road and matching the description of one that had been recently stolen out of West Plains.

According to the sheriff’s office, a records check was conducted on the motorcycle and it was confirmed to be reported stolen by the West Plains Police Department.  

After being advised by the West Plains Police Department, a towing agency was contacted and the motorcycle was removed from the scene. The Howell County Sheriff’s Office said this is an on-going investigation being handled by the West Plains Police Department.
