The West Plains Daily Quill will be closed Friday in observance of the Independence Day holiday, with normal office hours resuming at 8 a.m. Monday. The Quill’s Weekend Edition will publish on Saturday as normal.
Post offices, Missouri State University-West Plains offices, city halls, county and state offices, and other public offices, including the West Plains Public Library, will be closed Friday for the Independence Day holiday.
West Plains City officials remind residents that any trash routes normally picked up Friday will be collected Thursday, alongside routes normally picked up that day. No other routes will be affected.
City officials also remind citizens that shooting off fireworks inside the city limits is prohibited.
