In front of a packed house at Mtn. View-Birch Tree Liberty High School on Friday night, the Thayer Lady Bobcats and the Liberty Lady Eagles squared off in an intense showdown between two of the fiercest rivals in the South Central Association. With district title implications on the line, both teams left everything on the court, but it was the Lady Bobcats who surged late, capitalizing on Liberty’s missed free throws to secure a hard-fought 71-64 victory.
