June 24-28 – Summer Scholars Academy for area youths aged fifth through eighth grades. For more information or to register, visit WP.MissouriState.edu/Workforce.
July 1 – First day of 2024 summer session second four-week session classes.
July 4-5 – Independence Day holiday. Classes will not meet; offices closed.
July 16 – The story of Henry Rowe Schoolcraft and his journey through the Ozarks presented by educator and columnist Dr. Rick Mansfield, 6 p.m., the Garnett Library, 304 W. Trish Knight St., West Plains. Sponsored by the Ozarks Heritage Research Center. For more information, call 417-255-7945.
