Along with its’ local sponsors, Hibby’s Sports Grille, Community First Bank,
and ScreenShots, the North Terra Golf Foundation, in conjunction with the Boys and
Girls Club, is pleased to announce the launch of the First Tee program for the
community of West Plains.
The First Tee is an international youth development program that teaches kids
not only the fundamentals of golf but more importantly teaches 9 Core Values such as
respect, courtesy, honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, judgment, confidence,
responsibility, and perseverance. These Core Values are part of every session during
the 9 week program.
The 9 week session will begin on Tuesday, June 8 th for the youth of the Boys and
Girls Club and Thursday June 10 th for the youth of the community. There will be two (2)
sessions each day beginning at 9:00 a.m. and lasting until noon. The schedule will be as
follows:
Tuesday (Boys and Girls Club) Thursday (General Community)
9:00 – 10:15 (3 rd and 4 th grade) 9:00 – 10:15 (3 rd and 4 th grade)
10:30 – 11:45 (5 th – 8 th grade) 10:30 – 11:45 (5 th -8 th grade)
Each session will be limited to 15 kids and will last approximately 1 hour and 15
minutes. There is no cost to participants and no special clothing is required and all
necessary equipment will be furnished. All sessions will occur at the North Terra Golf
Course at the times listed. More information about the First Tee program may be found

Deadline for signing up for the community is May 14 th and can be done by calling
Roger Cyr at 419-545-1528. Any other business interested in becoming a sponsor of the
First Tee may also call Roger at the same number.
