Clifford is a red nose pit bull about 2 years old currently housed at the West Plains Regional Animal Shelter. “Clifford will need a home with no livestock around. He seems to be very sweet and loves to play tug of war,” said shelter volunteer Trish Hammen. “We are not sure about Clifford’s past, because he was a stray found in Mtn. View.” The dog will be neutered and current on shots before adoption. The fee to adopt is $50. Hammen said the shelter is in need of old newspapers, dog and cat food, and financial donations to help fund the construction of the interior of the new shelter building, located on the same property as the existing building, 1486 BB Highway north of West Plains. To learn more about adopting a pet or to donate, drop by the shelter between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, or call 417-256-8438.
