“This is Trouble, he comes by his name honestly,” says West Plains Regional Animal Shelter volunteer Trish Hammen of this resident there, clarifying, “Not that he is mean, just very mischievous.” The breed of the short-haired, medium-size dog is unknown. Trouble has been neutered and is current on vaccinations. “He would make a loyal guard dog and a family friend,” Hammen added. The fee to adopt is $50. Hammen notes the shelter is requesting donations of cat litter and funds to pay its large veterinary bill. To learn more about adopting a pet, or to donate, drop by the shelter at 1486 BB Highway between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, or call 417-256-8438.
