The West Plains Daily Quill will be closed Monday and Tuesday in observance of the Independence Day holiday, with normal office hours resuming at 8 a.m. Wednesday. Due to the holiday, there will be no newspaper printed on Tuesday. Wednesday’s paper will publish as normal.
Post offices, Missouri State University-West Plains offices, city halls, county and state offices, and other public offices will be closed Tuesday for the Independence Day holiday.
West Plains City officials remind residents that any trash routes normally picked up Tuesday will be collected Wednesday. No other routes will be affected.
City officials also remind citizens that shooting off fireworks inside the city limits is prohibited.
