The Richards School Board will hold a public tax rate hearing prior to its regular monthly meeting on Aug. 23.
The required annual tax rate hearing will begin at 6 p.m. in the school boardroom and is expected to last about 10 minutes. Once adjourned, the regular board meeting will be called to order.
On the agenda: administrative reports, the adoption of a special education compliance plan and conflict of interest notice, review of the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan for Fiscal Year 2023 and approval of bus routes, substitute staff and the annual secretary of the board report.
The board will move into closed, executive session for the discussion of legal and personnel matters before returning to open session and adjourning for the evening.
This session was rescheduled from an earlier planned dated of Aug. 9. Meetings are typically held on the second Tuesday of each month and the public was welcome.
