About 171 West Plains High School seniors, including these six, participated Friday in a day of giving back to the community by doing tasks like removing trash and weeds and washing fire trucks at city- and school-owned properties around town and at South Fork. In addition to both R-7 elementary schools the middle school, locations included the Aquatic Center bath house, civic center, Heart of the Ozarks Fairgrounds, all city fire stations, Galloway Park, North Terra Golf Course, the Harlin Museum, Ozarks Small Business Incubator, People's Park, the library, Jimmie Carroll Sports Complex and Ozark Heritage Welcome Center. After a morning of hard work, the seniors were treated to a barbecue at Zizzer Field, celebrating the end of their high school career before graduating at 7 p.m. Monday.
